MGA 2 Man Random Draw

Registration: 

Please register as a 4 man group. This will be the group you play your round with but may or may not include your final partner. Partners for each two man team will be randomly selected once all scores are recorded.

** You may also register as a single, twosome or threesome and allow the golf shop to complete your foursome. **

MGA Format: 

This is a 2 man net event. All players will record their individual scores for the round, and their partners will be randomly selected following the round once all scores are recorded. Partners will be assigned within flights with a minimum of three flights for this event. Both player's net scores will count for the total team score. 

Vegas Qualifier Format:

The Top 4 Low Net Individual winners at 70% of your handicap will qualify for the Regional Finals. You will select your 2-Man Best Ball partner (must be a Lantana Member that participated in the Club Qualifier) to participate with at the Regionals Finals here at Lantana Golf Club.

There will be two different leaderboards set up for this event. The MGA 2-Man Random Draw and the Vegas Qualifier Format.

Vegas Handicap Requirements:

There are no minimum handicap requirements for this format given that a team's handicap is considered in computing the final score. The two (2) team members' aggregate USGA Handicap Index cannot be greater than 40.0. A professional player may play as part of a team of two (2) and their handicap will be set at 0.0.

-  If a player does not have a verifiable USGA or Golf Canada Handicap, it will be set at 0.

-  The Handicap will be calculated where the event will be held.

-  Each team member will be playing at 70% handicap in the better-ball, stroke play format.

-  A maximum of 18 shots will be awarded towards a player's handicap.

-  A pro and a (+) cannot play on the same team neither can two (+) players or two pros.

-  No one will be "giving back strokes". The lowest handicap will be set at 0.

-  If a player is a no-show or is late, his/her partner can still play alone.

For Example:

(+) 7.0 + (+) 0.7 = +7.7 INELIGIBLE, two (+) players cannot compete on the same team

(+) 3.0  + 0.7 = +2.9 ELIGIBLE

70.8 + 26.8 = 37.6 ELIGIBLE

22.8 + 30.2 = 53.0 INELIGIBLE, team aggregate handicap index is greater than 40.0

- Team aggregate USGA or Golf Canada Handicap Index is greater than 40.0

Tees and Handicapping: 

For this event and ALL 2025 MGA events, players will play from the tees in which 70% (14) of your last 20 rounds at Lantana are recorded. This includes all options on the Lantana score card (Black, Lantana Tees, Blue, Members and White Tees). Tees will be automatically assigned based on this criteria. Players without 20 posted rounds at Lantana will default to the Blue tees.

Payouts: 

Top 25% of the field will be paid out in the form of pro shop credit.

Cash Skins Game:

Optional $20 cash skins game available. Cash will be collected at registration prior to beginning play.

Cancelation Policy: 

Any cancelations after 12:00pm Tuesday, February 4th will incur the full tournament entry fee.
